"Guo Pei: Couture and Beyond"

**Cue existence being eternally shook**
The 2015 Met Gala... what more is there to say. No one shined as bright as Rihanna in her Guo Pei gown. Before this, I and much of western fashion lovers had little idea of who Guo Pei was... much to our disappointment. However, she was immediately skyrocketed to the top of my favorite designers list.
Naturally, when I heard the SCAD was having a Guo Pei exhibition I flipped out. Unfortunately, I have not yet been able to see Rihanna's gown because it is at the SCAD Fash in Atlanta, but it's still on my to-do list. I was however, able to see a couple of other gorgeous gowns they have here in Savannah. Getting up close really allows you to see how much detail goes into every single dress, which a camera just cannot do justice. Hearing the gallery worker describe some of the process Pei uses to achieve the final products... talk about dedication. I don't care who you are, what you like, what you want to be, GO see this exhibit.
